Boquet Wraps

While looking at pictures on the latest blog post from my most favorite Engagement/Wedding photographer, Amelia Lyon, there was a picture of the boquet carried by the bride and it was just beautiful the way it was wrapped. I want a wrap around my boquet now! And I just thought about those pearl clusters down below... the bridesmaids boquets can be hanging from there wrists with the peral clusters, kinda like a purse.

Minus the diamond looking thing wrapped around the middle. I just want some pretty green silk around mine or something.

Skittles Mixed Drink

I had the most delicious drink the other night at the bowling alley bar. The bartender there is super fun and made my friend and I a mixed drink that tasted like Skittles. He put it in a glass with a bunch of crushed ice, the drink and a lemon slice. INSTANTLY I thought of what a great signature wedding drink this would make! Unfortanetly he would not tell me the recipe, incredibly stupid if you ask me, but now I must discover how to make this drink. I know there were no actual skittles in it, but when I googled skittles mixed drink a recipe actually containing skittles and a martini shaker came up. I'm sure it gives an interesting color (once the green and purple ones are removed apparently) and really good flavor mixed with the vodka. So... this is one possibility OR I can try and make it myself another way, which would be super fun too! I did see him crushing up a lemon into the glass, but stupid me looked away before I could see which alcohol he was mixing in. I think it would be fun to put a sugared rim on the glass too... something to think about.

From eHow.com
Step 1
Pour one package of Skittles in a bowl. Remove all the purple (grape) and green (lime) Skittles from the bowl. Discard or eat these Skittles, but do not add them to the mixture. They create a strange flavor in combination with the other Skittles and the color of your finished product will be dull and unattractive.
Step 2
Open a bottle of vodka and pour off about 1/2 cup of vodka. Store in a sealed container. Be sure to label it for future use.
Step 3
Pour the Skittles into the bottle of vodka using a funnel or drop them in by hand. The combination of flavors and colors will create a fruity drink. Don't forget to remove the green and purple ones first!
Step 4
Cap the bottle and shake for 30 to 45 seconds to mix the Skittles and vodka.
Step 5
Let the bottle set for at least 24 hours to blend flavors, a longer setting time will enhance the flavor and color of the drink. Gently shake the bottle every few hours to hasten the process.
Step 6
Strain the Skittles from the bottle of vodka using a clean coffee filter or a piece of cheese cloth. Discard the remaining pieces of Skittles.
Step 7
Rinse an residue from the Skittles from the vodka bottle with cold water. Refill the bottle with your new Skittles vodka and seal tightly.
Step 8
Serve over ice or as shots, but use caution. Even though this may taste like a fruity drink, it is made from vodka. 80 proof vodka contains 40% alcohol . That's a big jump from the average 6% alcohol in a wine cooler or the 4% alcohol in a beer.

Alcohol add in ideas... Malibu Mango Rum, Lemon vodka, cherry vodka.
